The Social Penguin Blog is a social media blog based in Scotland, and was started in 2009 by Mike McGrail and a very clever Penguin called Dave.
In mid 2012, the blog entered a period of hiatus, as Mike launched his first business, Velocity Digital and had to concentrate on building that. However, the blog is back with a new team and a group of great writers! Dave the Social Penguin is fully focussed on delivering great social media, content and digital marketing articles to our readers, old and new.
The Social Penguin Team
Mike McGrail – Mike is the founder of TSPB and earns his living advising businesses of all shapes and sizes with regards to their digital marketing and communications strategies via his consultancy, Velocity Digital. When not caught up in the digital world, you can find him spending time with his family, friends and unleashing his passion for malt whisky. More about Mike over on his LinkedIn profile. He also loves a little sharing over on Google +.
Steven Sefton – Steven is an integral part of The Social Penguin Blog team. Aside from writing articles mainly focussed on the B2B sector, he is responsible for managing our communities on Facebook and Google Plus and helps out with our writing team. Outside of TSPB duties, Steven is a Digital & Social Media Marketing Director for Zap, a branding & digital based company in Lanarkshire, Scotland. When not working, he’s usually found on the hills of Scotland and trying to be a whisky drinker. You can read his blog here and catch him on Google Plus here.
